A quick review of George Clooney’s past

George Timothy Clooney is a famous actor who was born on May 6, 1961. He is an American actor and not only this; he is a film director, producer, and screenwriter at the same time. He is not only famous for his artistic work, but he is also a social welfare. He has served United Nations as Messenger of peace since 2008 while learning global translations at the same time.

He has been awarded with an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards for his marvelous acting skills. He has been nominated for many awards for his films.

Clooney was born in Lexington, Kentucky. He has a strong background in art and film industry. A number of his family members are related to this field. His mother, Nina Bruce was a former beauty pageant queen. His father, Nick, is a anchorman, game show and American Movie Classics host.

Clooney began his education at a school in Kentucky. He attended some art schools in Ohio. He attended universities in Kentucky. But he never graduated from any university he attended.

He started his career from TV. His first role was an extra in a TV series in year 1978. Clooney’s first major role came in 1984 in the short-lived sitcom E/R. His first significant break was a supporting role in the sitcom Roseanne. It will be cruel not to mention ER. Clooney achieved eminence and glory when he was selected to play Dr. Doug Ross on the hit NBC drama ER from 1994 to 1999. It boomed television audience and they had to accept that Clooney has got something on it.

After that success opened its doors for him. He started to appear in films most often. He played many roles; he played the role of a construction worker on Baby Talk. After that he acted as a sexy detective on Sisters. In 1988, Clooney also played a role in Return of the Killer Tomatoes, one of his memorable hits.

In 1999, Clooney left the cast of ER to pursue his film career. After that he started working on his film career. He acted in many great movies like The Perfect Storm, one of his top ten movies to date.

He made his debut as a director in the 2002, in a film named Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which is an adaptation of the autobiography of TV producer Chuck Barris. Though the movie did not do that well at the box office, Clooney’s direction skills were praised among critics and audiences alike. After the success of his film, Good Night and Good Luck, Clooney has planned to devote more of his energy and attention to his career as a director.
